(S)potted: Delayed Gratification

‘Slow news is good news’ is the idea behind independent magazine Delayed Gratification. Exhausted by the 24-hour news cycle, never-ending tweets and live blogs churned out minute by minute, a group of journalists decided to fight back, but quietly and thoughtfully. In January 2011, they launched the world’s first ‘slow journalism’ magazine, a quarterly publication which revisits the events of the previous three months to see what happened after the dust settled and the news agenda moved on. It boasts quality long-form journalism from writers around the world alongside dynamic infographics, photography and original cover art.
Slow Journalism is dedicated to taking time to produce something of quality.
