The Dalston Takeover at the V&A

The V&A has launched a series of events as part of its Friday Late series, delving into London’s emerging and established creative community. First stop, Dalston. As part of this Dalston takeover, The Bootstrap Company has been asked to curate a room and the good news is that Cultivaters & SeedTheCity are part of the program, as emerging culture is what we’re all about!


We’ll be showing 10 Audio Routes: Bootstrap Stories throughout the evening. These short audio and photographic portraits are an ongoing project portraying a cross-section of Bootstrap building residents, created as a collaboration between SeedTheCity and photographer Kuba Nowak from Dokument.

Overlooking London’s skyline, Dalston Roof Park is an oasis in the heart of Hackney. Enjoy live streaming, short films from in-house film makers, a Printhouse Gallery selection and live music from Bootstrap Campus. Contributors include Ruth Hanahoe, The Film Atelier, David Husky Nwikpo, Ashton John, The Secret Seed Society, Pierre Da Silva, Kuba Nowak, Cultvaters, Merci Marie Café,, Charlie Doran, Hands Inc., Craig Murray, Matthew Stone and Twenty%extra.
