(S)potted: The Invisible Dot

Their website doesn’t really say much other than that they allocate events with ID numbers, but if you dig a little deeper it’s apparent these people organise a whole load of events based around comedy and cabaret with a packed monthly program in place. Every other Friday night they put on free show where writers, comics, actors can perform their work, more or less in progress.
We arrived at the Invisible Dot theatre, a pretty small space near Kings Cross to find a packed house waiting for something to happen. And happen it did. On stage Australian writer and comic Nick Coyle began a tragic and hilarious monologue about the death of his girlfriend Jenny. The result was a surreal journey into a very sick mind.

The Invisible Dot is definitely a seed that we’ll be keeping an eye on so watch this space.
